Apology of Damian

The flagellant is, at least for me, an inspiring light, here is the man who, through sheer willpower alone, defied death itself.

He was the one and only that showed no fear in the entanglemant of failure and collapse, he fought for what he belived.

He obscured his face from the artificial light of the torch, not because he was not worth of its warmth, but beacuse his belif came from inside.

"Forgive yourself. Humanity is a weak hypothesis, after all. An unbalanced equation... an imperfect angle."

To me the flagellant is the real demostration of humanity, the skeletal structure, the exposed veins and the blight that pervades him are the metaphor of determination.

"And yet, in each of us, a hopeful light, holding fast against the hellish shadows that gather between our good intentions. And in each of us the limitless emptiness... of a Darkest Dungeon."

He fought life and death, living in a pending doom, peering his sacrifical destiny forgiving the same world that candamned him.
